My name is Chloe. I am a 30 year old Mum to two beautiful kids; a pigeon pair aged 7 and 10. I am happily married to my highschool sweetheart. We live in Perth with our two cats and a HUGE Great Dane x Mastiff named Sandor. My day job is as a midwife. I love that I can get my daily dose of baby cuddles but, at the end of the day, I can hand them back to their Mums and then enjoy a full night's sleep 😂.

I have always enjoyed making art and creating things. My Mum taught me how to cross-stitch at about the age of 7 and my Nanna taught me how to knit when I was 10. As a teenager, I'd spend hours drawing and painting, and won many awards for my work. More recently, I have dabbled in cardmaking and scrapbooking, and I've taught myself to crochet

It wasn't until I joined Instagram a couple of years ago that it occured to me that I could sell some of the things I made. I was blown away by the creativity of the biz mamas I was following and the amazing products they had for sale.

About this time last year, while holidaying in Phuket, my husband and I discussed possibly taking time out from our normal, daily lives and spend a year travelling instead. Initially, we thought of going abroad but eventually we decided to do a 'lap' of Australia. After all, there's so much of our own beautiful country that we are yet to see. The plan is to set off in February of next year.

In the process of planning for our trip, we've come to realise that our little adventure was going to cost a bit of money, even if we managed to free camp for the majority of the time. So, in order to supplement our income whilst on the road, I figured I could create things to sell to my fellow travellers, as well as at markets all around Australia. It was then, in November of last year, that wood'n was born! 

The first product to hit the virtual shelves at wood'n were my splatter painted hair bobbles. I have since added to the range a variety of women's and children's jewellery and accessories (including necklaces, earrings, keyrings, and bagtags), and home decor items.
